Phase II: The Park Wood Project
Location: Hampshire

This is a two phase project. Phase 2 is building on the success of Phase 1 which has been completed.

Phase 2 of the project is undertaking further historical research and woodland restoration.

The conservation work underway includes clearing invasive species, further wildlife surveys and improving access. A particular aspect of this project is the restoration of a historical meadow area.

The historical research carried out in the first phase is being developed further. Also a second Woodland Festival is being planned for 2002, to present the results of Phase 2 of the project to local people and the wider public.

There are also many rare species in the Wood. This project is continuing research into the human and natural heritage found there.
