Whitehill & Bordon Heritage Project
Location: Hampshire

This project is studying the wider history of the area, which includes Mesolithic & Bronze Age sites, through Roman, Saxon and Medieval presence to more recent histories such as Bordon Military Camp, built in 1903 to house the returning soldiers of the Boer War. Subsequently, the Longmoor Military Railway was established to give soldiers training in building and running a military railway in theatres of conflict

The society is interpreting these histories through a series of exhibitions, display cabinets & associated talks and mobile collections which will be used for outreach work within the community and local schools.
