Pupils make their mark on history

Historic Yarmouth Castle has had a contemporary facelift
Pupils of Yarmouth Primary School made a one-metre-square mural to brighten up the exterior walls as part of the Local Heritage Initiative's Yarmouth History project after taking part in several workshops with artists Dawn Campbell and Helen Goodman.
The Yarmouth and Thorley Community Partnership has been trying for some time to improve the appearance of the castle and is delighted extra funding was given by Yarmouth Town Council and English Heritage to help make it happen. The bulk of the project is being run by the Countryside Agency and financially supported by a £24,839 Local Heritage Initiative grant
