Faversham Creek Heritage Trail
Location: Kent

The project will work to enhance appreciation by both local people and visitors of the Town and area's natural, archaeological, built and industrial heritage. A walking route will be defined linking Faversham's urban area and the marshlands to the north.

The route identified will pass through historical industrial areas and rich estuary habitats. Interpretation Boards and a self-guide leaflet will be produced and supported by a real-time webcam surveying part of the route and linked to various web sites.

A local school, which is located along the route, will take part in oral interviews of the local elderly population. Disabled access will also be improved via "kissing gates" replacing the old-style stiles.
