Faversham on the Map
Location: Kent
The project is about raising awareness of local heritage in Faversham. The aim is to provide a focal point via a mosaic mural that will highlight important aspects of the town's little known heritage. Local people will participate in a series of 8 workshops that will research and design the heritage content of 8 individual sections of the mural. An exhibition, including the completed mural, will be set up in Faversham Railway Station and a leaflet produced to guide people around the sites in the town. Many local groups will take part in the project (see below)
