King's Church Medway Centenary
Location: Kent

King's Church is 100 years old and has recently undergone complete restoration.

To mark the occasion of its Centenary (April 2003), the group wishes to research and archive the history of the church, focusing on how the church has been the centre of the community through the years. The core group for this project consists of the Church Committee. However, one of the main aims of the scheme is to involve the community as a whole through contribution of photographs, memorabilia, and personal memories.

An Open Day will be held, at which people will be invited to contribute information towards the project. These will form the basis for a permanent exhibition in the Church to record the history of the community and the Church over the last century. An information leaflet will be produced and there will be a two day exhibition in the Church.
