Location: Kent

The Parish Church of St Mary of Charity, Faversham has long been the centre of the community although few people are aware of its rich and diverse heritage. The project aims to investigate certain aspects of the church's history including:
  • the painted column dated 1306
  • the Misericords from the 15th Century (rarely seen in a parish church)
  • the brasses dating from the 14th to the 17th Century which includes the famous Henry Hatch brass (a generous benefactor to the town of Faversham)
  • the stained glass windows.
The remains of King Stephen are said to lie in the Trinity Chapel.

A series of outputs have been produced and include:
  • leaflets on the specific heritage themes,
  • educational packs,
  • an exhibition model and display
