Children at The Dig
Location: Oxfordshire

Children enjoyed taking part in the archaeological dig during the White Horse Project.

They learnt how to make clay pots and decorated them using twigs and stones, replicating Iron Age designs.
The children also learnt to spin wool with spindles, pulling out the wool into long lengths of yarn.
Francis Pryor showed them how to excavate in the trench
