Burnt Row Project
Location: West Sussex

The group will investigate the natural and archaeological heritage of Burnt Row Wood. There will be a small scale archaeological investigation into a row of 18th century dwellings, and research and investigation into the woodland well.

The woodland area will be cleared for access, creating a resting area in sympathy with the woodland setting and replanting key woodland flora. As part of this, young people will be trained in skills such as hedge laying and an ecological survey will produce an area management plan. Map boards, a trail map guide and directional marking will be installed and the process will be recorded and videoed.
