Initial training session - February 17th
Sharon Lee, Oral History Field Worker from Portsmouth City Council Record Office led a discussion with volunteer interviewers on the techniques and good practice of gathering and processing oral history.
Follow up – April 4th
Volunteers practice their interviewing skills.
 
Trina Miliam holds the database of interviewers and interviewees and we have developed a pack of, we hope helpful, materials to assist interviewers in the practicalities of interviewing and writing up. It consists of:- Interview Summary – (detail sheet)
- Interview Agreement – (for copyright permission etc.)
- Interview Questions – (to fall back on if necessary)
- Interviewing* – (hopefully helpful practicalities)
- Photo Handling* – (as above)
- Writing Up Your Interview* – (ideas and technical details)
