FISHBOURNE C.E. PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS JOIN THE BOOK PROJECT

Teachers of Fishbourne Primary School, led by Nick Sharp, are happy to take part in the Fishbourne Book and Photo Archive Project. Work in school will include the development of curriculum projects, for example:

Yr 1 ‘Granny lived in Fishbourne’ preparation Oct 2005 for delivery Spring 1.

Yr 2 ‘Fishbourne Village’ as part of ‘Fishbourne and Arundel’ preparation May 2005 for delivery Summer 2.

Yr 3 ‘Turn of the Century 1900’ as part of ‘The Victorians’ preparation September 2005 for delivery Autumn 2.

Yr 4 ‘Church History’ as part of ‘Fishbourne Church’ preparation March 2005 for delivery Summer 1 and 2.

Yr 5 ‘The War Years in Fishbourne’ as part of ‘Britain in the 1930’s and 40’s’, Preparation June 2005 for delivery Autumn 1.

Yr 6 Oral History Gathering – Interviewing and writing up experiences of residents of the village and contributing our own experiences ‘Memories of my time at Fishbourne School’, preparation May for delivery Summer 2.

Nick has been in discussion with Mary Hand, Book Editor, during the LHI application process. He and his colleagues see the children’s involvement in this community project as important and worthwhile.

Work in the school will be supported by the interviews and photos contributing to the Book and the Photo Archive.
