This project stems from a Parish Map produced in January 2000. The Map created great community interest in carrying out more research into the history of the parish.
This project is researching and publishing the history of this small parish on the outskirts of Arundel. Much research has already been carried out, but interviews are still taking place and archive material and photographs are still being collected.
In addition to the book, two exhibitions are being planned. The first one will take place at the Youth Hostel in the village and will consist of a display of pictures, photographs, maps and other information. This is being produced by villagers, including children. A wider viewing of the material will later be held at the Arundel Museum.
The whole of the village of Warningcamp (population of 180) is contributing to the project. Villagers are helping in the research, contributing photographs and other documents and allowing access for architectural studies of some houses.
The history of this village has not been documented before. This project is recording aspects of its heritage that would otherwise be lost.
