A Miner's Tale
Location: Bath and NE Somerset
This project aims to involve a broad spectrum of the community in the creation, design, performance and recording of a play which will interpret a facet of life in the North Somerset coalfields.
Five performances of the play will be held and a video made of the project recording the difficult living and working conditions endured by their ancestors over a 200 year period.
The play will blend live action with specially shot footage and old photographs projected on the backdrop. The video will be used as a learning aid in schools to encourage discussion on and raise awareness of local heritage.
