Camborne, Trevithick Day 2001
Location: Cornwall

The local heritage of Camborne was celebrated by a community festival which took place on the 27th and 28th April 2001.

The festival focused on the culture of a traditional mining community and included a local person who was the key figure in developing early tin mining techniques.

Traditional Cornish music and dance was put on display at the festival. Local history was promoted through choirs and theatre groups.

The whole event was photographed and filmed for use in permanent displays.
