Knacked Bals
Location: Cornwall
The theme of the project has two main elements
1) To digitally photograph and record old mine sites with engine houses
2) To digitally record plant species that inhabit these sites.
The project will be disabled led with involvement and participation from other groups and individuals from the local community. The project has a high skills and learning content for participants especially in digital photography and computer skills and equipment usages.
The images produced will be to a professional quality to preserve and record images taken at this time before many old sites fall into dereliction.
An exhibition at the end of the project will record and raise awareness of this particular aspect of local heritage and it is hoped the project, through the strengthening of community bonds, will act as a pilot for other similar projects in the area.
