The new finger posts have been erected by contractors Cormac, and they look quite splendid in their black and gold cornish colours.
The map display panels have also been mounted; replacing and augmenting the old ones.

An open photo competition on the theme Liskeard Heritage has been organised.
There will be four adult categories; a heritage building, artifact, event or a person. One under 16's category is 'my favourite Liskeard heritage picture'.
The sponsors, Topfoto, will produce 10“ x 8“ prints for each entry. Topfoto staff will judge the competition and are generously donating the prizes.

A french language version of the guide has been finalised and has gone to the printers.

The DVD 'video' of the town's heritage has been completed by Stuart House committee member Ian Rowe and his family. This will enable people, who may not be mobile enough to walk the trail, to get some experience of it

To complement the Town Trails, Stuart House committee member Ian Rowe has organised a series of walks reaching out beyond the town boundaries. These walks will take in the Caradon railway and mines, quarries, stone circles, holy wells, turnpikes, ancient ways, bull stones , and many other heritage aspects of Liskeard Borough.

The three week Marketing Course by Peter Dukes was quite inspiring -he covered such areas as advertising, press releases, websites, Powerpoint presentations, and marketing of Stuart House itself.

Plans for the launch event later in March have been finalised. Advertising flyers have been dropped to all business premises and domestic properties around the town central area; to hotels and tourist information outlets, to surgeries and care homes, clubs and social organisations.
Press releases have been sent to all the local papers, TV and radio.

The opening ceremony will be held on the Parade, or if wet, in the Public Hall.
Afterwards there will be a lunch in the Public Hall for invited guests. Everyone will be urged to take a guide and try out the trail for themselves.
