Newlyn Community Water Heritage
Location: Cornwall

The group intends to research, restore and celebrate six sites in Newlyn relating to the historic water supply from the medieval era to the 1920’s. The project will invite local craftspeople to undertake the restoration of the sites, which will be recorded visually and orally. The local school are developing an information gathering study. The sites will then be added to the already existing Newlyn Trail and accompanying guide. The sites will also be linked to the Plen Air project which highlights sites used by the Newlyn School. The development of a relevant logo is also being proposed. Research into the site is going to be undertaken by the local history society and a local museum and art gallery. The will be a launch for the new trail and guide combined with a celebration. It is also intended to create a website for the project.
