Penryn Heritage Trail and Oral History Project
Location: Cornwall

A community project based around the creation of a heritage trail led by the Museum Society which is an associated member of the Penryn Community Development Trust.

The local community will be actively involved in the development of the trail – identifying sites, researching their history, creating the route and map, designing and installing interpretation boards and street markers – helped by local historians and design professionals.

The trail will stop at the museum where oral history recordings will be shown in a specially created, dedicated booth and material gathered during the project will be on display; this material will also be used to create a website.

A book will be produced to accompany the trail and all the outputs will be launched at a well advertised public celebration.
