Membership of the St Agnes Regeneration Forum is open to anyone from the local community with a strong interest in its activities. At the start of this project the Forum, already consisting of a mix of representatives from a wide range of local organisations, quickly realised that to give our proposed Leaflet Pack maximum impact, it was necessary to recruit new members with specialised knowledge of the topics we aimed to cover in the text.

This was done smoothly and without delay, an indication of the willingness of local people to assist the project. Included in these are several local historians; one a Cornish Bard since 1995, with the Bardic name ‘Gwythyas Sen Agnes Coth’ which means Guardian of Old St Agnes. We are also tapping the great reservoir of knowledge locked up in the memories of our elderly residents and, of course, other residents with specialist knowledge.

John Opie was born here Harmony CotIt was decided that a small Steering Group should be formed with the main task of overseeing the planned progress. The Steering Group was nominated at an early point in the project and its members have been working hard at coordinating the efforts of those involved in the production of the leaflets.

An experienced video cameraman has been recruited to record the video diary and to provide footage of sections of the walks. To facilitate this work, the Forum has made its first major purchase, a video camera. It has been resolved that, when our project is complete, this camera will be left in charge of the Parish Council for the use of any reliable, local organisation.

A graphic designer has been chosen to give our leaflets and their folder a professional finish.
