The Looe Heritage Trail
Location: Cornwall

The aim of the project was to raise awareness of the built, natural and cultural heritage of the town of Looe by involving local people in the creation of a self-guided trail around the town.

The trail would be wheelchair and pushchair accessible and have five information boards placed at strategic points along the route.

Trail guides would be distributed free to local people and at a small cost to visitors with translations available in selected languages.

Audio and visual versions of the trail would also be proudced. The audio trail would include reminiscences and stories from older inhabitants. A video/DVD showing the trail and related information in detail would be posted on the LHI website and Looe’s town website, linking with other relevant local information sources.
