"Wharf" A Secret History
Location: Cornwall

The project aims to involve the community in detailed research of the history and use of the Falmouth Wharves, led by a local group of artists who will also create an exhibition of their work inspired by the project.

The results of the research will be showcased in a number of ways including an interactive website, a publication of the history, reminiscences, pictures and maps of the area.

The group is also going to undertake a film which will include interviews with local residents and collected footage which will be given a public screening following its completion. Workshops and education events will be used to increase local participation.

A mobile exhibition is intended to travel to other English ports that have links to the wharves, and there will also be an exhibition of the initial research. Public events including an open day are also planned.

The project is also hoping to increase education opportunities through a programme of workshops funded by an NBS award which will be available to all sectors of the community.
