Research continued after the 2003 fair to obtain more material for the archive, including cuttings from the 1700s. Karen Piper and Peter Worthington (left, top image) at the Local Studies Library, Barnstaple.
Meetings, displays and exhibitions were held to publicise the project and appeal for material and memories. Sylvia Gilson is pictured (left 2nd image down) at a local history day at RHS Rosemoor.
Members of the public loaned photographs and publications and allowed them to be copied. The third image down on the left shows a photo dated 1906.
