The Archive
Location: Devon
Mr Darch, Chulmleigh farmer, cut down a 120 year old oak tree, to supply the wood needed to build the cabinet which would house the archive material.

A copy of the Royal Charter (bottom-left) signed by King Henry III in 1253. The charter decrees that the fair shall commence each year on the Tuesday evening following the 22nd of July, and it has taken place every year, including during both world wars of the 20th Century.
