Branscombe: Where Memory Meets History, Phase 2 (Phase 2)
Location: Devon

Phase One collated information on the heritage of the area via an oral history survey, field and hedgerow walking and culminated in the production of a parish map, exhibition and information booklet.

Phase 2 aims to;
  • collect information about and create a snapshot of the inhabitants of the village

  • to explore farming in the community

  • do a geophysical survey and small scale archaeological excavation

  • create a video of the project and do an annual exhibition

  • produce 2 booklets and create a website

  • create a database of the Oral History tapes already collected as well one of the Parish Births/Deaths/Marriages Registers and Census returns
