Chivelstone Parish Queen's Golden Jubilee Project
Location: Devon
The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the local heritage of the village of Chivelstone particularly the natural, archaeological and built heritage including the known shipwreck sites just off the coast.
This awareness will be achieved through local people with the help of professionals investigating and collating local heritage information that will be made available to the general public through on site interpretation and a complimentary leaflet that will be given to all residents of the village.
The boards and leaflets will complement other leaflet material produced through other funding sources. The local heritage will be celebrated by an opening event to which the wider community will be invited.
