Cockington Village Project
Location: Devon

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of he history of Cockington Village among local people and its function as a working community by investigating local heritage assets and providing interpretative material. Local people will draw together old pictures, letters, memories and archive material to add to the community history. A parish map will be produced and displayed within the village.

A heritage trail will also be established with simple plaques at key locations. Booklets and leaflets and a website will also be produced, Two specific heritage features will be restored using local crafts men but including workshops to allow local people to participate and gain an understanding of the skills involved
