Dartmoor Changes - Update

Update on Progress - February 2004
Well things are progressing apace with this project. We have recorded about a third of the towers we are planning to use, each individual, unique and fascinating. People are coming out of the woodwork wanting to help, and we now have a strong team of volunteers.
We have already been able to start our listening walks, which take people to selected towers, linking each tower with its recorded change. These walks have, in turn, captured the attention of Devon Life, the prestigious magazine covering cultural and social life in Devon: so we are hoping for some good publicity for the project.
All the raw material for our video has now been filmed, and we are at work in our editing suite on a final cut- on schedule and within budget we believe.
What we have learned so far is that taking the plunge with an ambitious project pulls in people to help. It is hard work. It is exciting. It is making us new friends. Watch this space for our next news report.
