Dartmoor Changes

The project has been going extremely well. We have now completed all the recordings of the bell towers, which has been a considerable undertaking. We will shortly begin the process of reviewing all the recorded material (audio and video) and photographs, and to begin the editing and weeding task that will ultimately result in the final published outputs.
The documentary artists’ video is now complete, and was recently on exhibition at Spacex Gallery in Exeter. It will be shown widely elsewhere.
We are ahead of our (revised) schedule in the recordings. We have been delighted with the level of enthusiasm with which the project has been met. Not all of the towers on Dartmoor have an active team of local
ringers; in these cases we were able to provide a team of ringers.
Where there is a local team, we have used it. Where there is a local team, but not a full complement, we have been able to supplement the local ringers in order to provide a full team.
