Hope Cove, Galmpton and South Huish: The Story of a Devon Parish
Location: Devon
The aim of the project is to produce a history of the
parish from the first millennium BC to present day in written and visual form covering a range of events and activities. This will be achieved by drawing on the experience of group members under the editorship of a local writer and historian. The community will be engaged with the project through information gathering exercises including a questionnaire delivered to local households.
There will also be a public presentation at the local village hall and continuing annual exhibitions and newsletter entries. The outputs of the project, including a book, will increase the parish archive material and it is hoped will form the basis for a further phase producing subject specific publications on traditions and practices in the local area.
