Loddiswell History Project
Location: Devon

This project is raising awareness of the heritage, and particularly the history, behind the name of the village. The project is achieving this through restoring a feature and establishing a heritage trail around the village.

The heritage trail is incorporating signposts and information boards for various historical features around the village.

The project is culminating in the restoration of the key feature; the old well, known as Lod's well, which gives the village its name and dates back to Saxon times.

The project also has an oral history aspect to it which is helping with the research of the heritage of the village.
