Petrockstow Past and Present
Location: Devon
This project will collate information from villagers’ memories and the collection of old photographs to put together a book about the past and present of the village.
An electronic archive of all information gathered will be created and a brief information leaflet about the village will also be produced.
To date, no one has recorded Petrockstow’s past; the death of a resident who kept a personal archive has kick-started the group into involving the wider community in the recording of its history and its profile today.
The findings will be the subject of talks and displays throughout the project and could possibly lead to more local heritage projects.
