Preserving Kingston's Past
Location: Devon

The small village of Kingston is in an area known locally as the “South Hams”. It is set in rich agricultural land south of Dartmoor.

The project sets out to involve the community in preserving their archive material in a secure & accessible place in the village. It also aims to compile a pictorial & oral history by recording residents’ recollections & to photograph & video the village as it is today.

Information collected will be made available by updating & producing new publications, setting up exhibitions & linking up with the community website as well as producing our own.

The project aims to facilitate training in research & I.T. skills.
