Restoration of The Denbury Cistern
Location: Devon

This project is raising awareness of the local heritage features of the village of Denbury.

The project is achieving this by restoring and interpreting an ancient cistern which is a prominent feature in the centre of the village. The history of the feature is also being researched and its structure is being documented.

The project is using the information gathered to raise public awareness of the heritage asset. They are making this information available by producing a booklet, and through the village website and notice board.

Some minor structural repairs are also being made to the cistern itself.
