Sampford Peverell Heritage Project
Location: Devon

The project aims to involve local people in investigating the natural, cultural, built, archaeological and industrial heritage of the Parish of Samford Perverill through a two-phase project. This first phase one will be research carried out by society members and community volunteers.

Intended outputs from this phase include leaflets on walks, a website, a village map and information boards and signage. The project is aiming to draw in the entire community and already has the support of local schools and the parish council and it is expected that up to a further 200 people will be involved. The Project has the support of the parish council, the district council planning department, and the Grand Western Canal Trust.

Project outputs will be available at local libraries, the county records office, the local tourist office and through the projects own website and the LHI site. The outputs for a second phase have not yet been confirmed although a book and further leaflets are being considered
