An Exeter Misguide
Location: Devon

The project is a guidebook with the emphasis on discovering the undervalued and hidden parts of the heritage of the City of Exeter and its immediate surroundings.

"An Exeter Mis-Guide is a 95-page ring-bound book that offers its readers trips through the city of Exeter. Photographs and texts combine to propose themed explorations such as 'touch tours' or 'water walk', suggestions for more open-ended activities such as creating memory maps or drifting for set time lengths and then there are records of the author’s movements that may be reconstructed and considered. As such it amounts to 50 or so provocations in city perception and exploration."

The book has been written by Wrights & Sites (a local community arts group), working with local people to explore new ways of looking at the city.
