The Lepers of Taddiport
Location: Devon

The project intends to raise awareness of the culture and traditions of the leper colony and its related industrial history. This will be achieved through training of local people to produce a website and video and produce trail guides which will be made available to schools, surrounding parishes and heritage organisations to educate a wide range of community members. Archaeological digs will also be organised with any findings to be donated to Torrington Museum.

Three groups of local people will receive basic training in archaeological digs and historical training on the history of Taddiport. A procession will be also be organised and filmed. Interpretation signs will also be attached to significant buildings and sites.
