The Project
The play
The play will be performed over 3 or 4 nights in May 2007 in St Mary’s Church next to the old Farmor’s School building. Research is well under way being carried out by teachers at Farmor’s School with the assistance of local historians. In May the research will be handed over to a professional scriptwriter who will produce a script. The play is to be produced by FADS, our local dramatic society, involving young people from the society and schools. Casting and rehearsals will commence in January 2007. Farmor’s School will include the project as part of the GCSE drama curriculum.
Film
A video diary of the production and performance of the play is to be produced and will be available for sale as a DVD. A short film ‘Fairford Now and Then’ with an accompanying booklet will also be produced. These items are aimed at being an informative source to be on display in the Heritage Room of our newly refurbished Community Centre.
