Fairford History Society
Location: Gloucestershire
The project aims to celebrate the heritage and history of Fairford's pioneering role in education. This will be done by a community play - a dramatic presentation of education in Fairford over three centuries. The play will be produced in association with pupils and staff of local schools and the Fairford Amateur Dramatic Society, and will involve as many local people of all ages as possible. The script will be research-based and historically accurate, and the play will be performed over three consecutive nights in 2007 as part of the Fairford Festival.
