Willow - exhibition of paintings & drawings
Location: Somerset

In tandem with this LHI project, Kate Lynch has worked with the Brewhouse in Taunton and the Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury to produce an exhibition, ‘Willow - paintings and drawings with Somerset voices’.

Along with the paintings and drawings - many of which use local willow charcoal - some 30 oral recordings of growers and willow craftspeople have been made, which now form part of the Somerset Rural Life Museum’s Oral History Archive. Sound extracts from these recordings feature in the exhibition.
