The project's aim is to increase understanding of the local heritage assets in the area of the River Parrett. These assets include geology, architecture, flora and fauna, the agricultural and industrial past and the influence of the river on local customs and traditions.

The project's aims will be achieved by the establishment of a heritage trail along the river corridor. Improved access to heritage assets particularly for those with special needs is to be addressed.
