Tyncnell to Tintinhull - Evolution of a Village
Location: Somerset

This project aims to create an extended local history community through the establishment of an e-outreach network, a supervised landscape research programme and a permanent exhibition space. It aims to raise local awareness of the village’s heritage and provide training and learning opportunities for local people.

To do this the project will investigate the historic development of the parish through documentary evidence and field studies. A web based time line will be constructed and the participating community will be trained to research, record and store the information gathered on equipment purchased for the purpose.

Frequent events such as practical seminars, exhibitions, show and tell walks, IT training and talks will be held to encourage the widest possible participation and the final results will be published as a booklet with the potential for a larger work later on.
