The People of Olveston in Peace and War
Location: South Gloucestershire

To research, record, present and publish 2 aspects of a thousand year old community – Quakerism and Local people who died in the WWI and II and Korea. Using a volunteer base, research will be carried out in national archives, private collections and memories of local people.

Schools will be involved in illustrating how these people are part of the heritage of Olveston and in raising awareness of that heritage through exhibitions with interpretative displays, web site entries and a book on each topic. There will be a photographic record of the research activities showing those involved which will be presented locally.
