The aim of the second phase of the project was to continue the very successful work undertaken in the already approved phase one of involving local people in understanding, caring and celebrating the landscape heritage of the town of Highworth and its surroundings.
The project celebrated the landscape heritage of Highworth. The community led by members of the Town Council, Borough Council, Community Forest staff and local history society sought to foster a sense of pride of place and increase skills and knowledge by investigating and recording the local heritage including the landscape heritage, local people's stories, memories and feelings though writing, photography etc.
A promenade performance and trail was created around the town. The sun shone brightly on the day, a large audience came and enjoyed the performance and looking around the stalls on display at the site and a substantial number of people agreed to become directly involved with planning and work on the Pentylands Countryside Park.
