Fovant History Interest Group
Location: Wiltshire

Carrying on from the highly successful Phase I project, the group want to collate and edit information gathered for the creation of the website and produce a book for the benefit of those without access to the internet. The book will be about the history of Fovant and be written by the people of Fovant.

Many local people have contributed to the information on the website and there is great local interest in the project as a whole. An editor will work with the group, helping them to adapt text from the website, chose images and captions and pull together an index and finally produce the publication.

Free copies will be distributed to all participants and copies lodged with the local museum and library; the rest will be sold at local outlets at cost price to ensure that it is available to the widest audience. ‘Orders’ have already been received from local people as well as from interested parties in Canada, Spain, France, Australia and USA.
