Saint Edward's Wildlife Refuge
Location: Wiltshire

This project set out to restore the gate, tombs, headstones and other artefacts remaining in a disused 13th century churchyard, and to make improvements to the entrance to make it more accessible to the less able.

Volunteers would not only create and maintain the site as a wildlife refuge to celebrate the millennium, but also document the history, archaeology and wildlife interest of the site.

The information gathered would be made available on a public notice board, in leaflets and through a specially-created website.
