The Out of School Club provides facilities for children outside normal school hours in Billesley. The project aimed to collect information about the area and involve local children in carrying out a reminiscence project for the elderly residents.

The group had professional support from the "Birmingham Lives" project, a local charity that collects memories of the elderly residents. Local children were to interview the elderly people. Pictures will be donated to produce a travelling exhibition.

The project produced as exhibition that was launched in local schools, before going up in care homes and then local libraries. A book has been produced and is currently with the publishers. This is due for launch in February 2004.

The club are considering another project after the book is published, because the project is going so well.
