Fox Hollies Community Heritage Project
Location: Birmingham
Fox Hollies Hall was once the most significant property in Acocks Green. Unfortunately it was demolished in the 1930's and all that remains of the Hall are the entrance pillars to the grounds, the site was then redeveloped as a "model" social housing scheme.
The 1930's housing development is of regional importance, with a wide range of innovative house designs and features an ornamental "grand drive". The project aims to research the history of the site, involve local people in a series of workshops and events, produce on site interpretation, leaflets and booklet, record local memories and restore the gate posts.
