Hawkesley Farm Moted Site, Turves Green
Location: Birmingham
Munslow Grove is a 1950's development of high rise flats built on a medieval moated site. When built upon, part of the moat was filled in. The group have managed and promoted the site for a number of years. The remaining stretch of moat is now leaking.
The group will promote and interpret the site, involve schools in a 'moat guardians' scheme, survey the moat and surrounds, produce leaflets and a teachers pack, restore vegetation, maintain the moats level, produce 2 seats and have meetings, events and exhibitions.
