Longtown Historical Society
Location: Herefordshire

The project consists of two elements: an oral history to record the recollections of local people and events over the last 80 years or so, including farming practices, local dialect, and lost traditions.

Old photos and documents will be included and videos and three booklets will be produced from the material collected.

Also, there will be an archive survey to collect, describe, reference and index all the relevant archive and documentary material relating to the Hundred to produce a single Ewyas Lacy record.

The project will involve the History Society, local residents, local schools, young farmers club, Age Concern and the Women's Institute. The project aims to hold a series of talks, produce newsletters and a display.
