The People Of Old Whitbourne Project
Location: Herefordshire

This was an oral history project within the village of Whitbourne, Herefordshire, which has preserved and presented life in 20th Century Whitbourne, and linked in with an ongoing school project on the people of Whitbourne in the first World War.

Surveys were carried out on some of the black and white timbered buildings in the historic core of the village, and this research was complemented by finding out how people lived in them over the centuries. There was also a community archaeology project surveying trackways, field systems and former house sites, together with selected excavations to provide evidence of earlier village life.

Reports and pictures etc. can be found on the website www.whitbourne.org.uk/pow
